The Struggles Of A Summer Internship As Told By "The Office"

Summer internships are a great opportunity to prepare for a future career by applying what you've learned in college. But let's face it, some days at the office can be brutal. Who better to express the drama and frustration than the seasoned veterans of Dunder Mifflin?

1. When there's not enough work to do.

2. When there's too much work to do.

3. When you feel too afraid to ask questions.

4. Your superiors forget that you're new to the field and inexperienced.

5. You face competition against other interns.

6. Becoming responsible proves to be a difficult adjustment.

7. None of your hard work ended up being used or appreciated.

8. The internship is overwhelming and not what you expected.

9. Coming to terms with the lack of pay and consuming work lifestyle.

10. Getting taken advantage of for being at the bottom of the hierarchy.

11. When you butt heads with your boss.

12. Finding the motivation or inspiration to complete work well.

13. The office environment is uncomfortable or unfriendly.

14. When you fail to impress your coworkers and superiors.

15. Trying to maintain patience on a difficult project.

16. Spending your days locked away at a desk with cabin fever.

17. Trying to place the names of all the employees you meet.

18. Coping with the stress of a heavy workload.

19. When you try to downplay the mental breakdowns.

20. Finally cracking under the 9-to-5 grind.

No matter what obstacles you encounter, just remember not to get discouraged. We've ALL been there and will continue to enjoy the good along with the bad. It's human to make mistakes, and only time will prove personal success and satisfaction.

So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
