Well in case the Halloween displays at Target didn’t clue you in, its almost Halloween! If context clues aren’t your thing and you wait until the absolute last minute to figure out your costume, here are some easy costumes anyone can make (even if you cant craft to save your life).     

Ghost 
Everyone has an extra sheet. Cut out some holes and you are all set. On the plus side, if you are trying to avoid someone at one of the many parties you attend no one will know who you are. You can also sneak up behind people and scare the living day lights out of them.

Rosie the Riveter
You need two things, a red bandanna and a denim shirt. Since we go to Miami, I am 99% sure that everyone here has at least one of those. If you want to get really fancy throw on some red lipstick and call it a night. If you do decide to wear this as a costume, you are obligated to pose with your fist in the air and scream “We Can Do It” at the top of your lungs.       

70’s Flower Child
One of your housemates is sure to have patterned pants. Throw them on and head to Wal-Mart to buy some flowers and a cheap headband. Use a glue gun to make a trendy flower headband you can reuse at Lolla or Coachella next summer and you’re set.       

Cat
All black everything. While you’re at Wal-Mart picking up your flowers and headband, grab some pipe cleaners and another headband. Make some whiskers with your favorite black eyeliner and BOOM! You’re a cat.      

Where’s Waldo 
One of your housemates probably has aggressively oversized glasses. Promise you wont loose them and borrow them for the night. Throw on a basic stripped shirt and your favorite shoes, Converse, and be prepared to have people yell “I found Waldo!” at you all night.

Freshman
We’ve all been there. Dig out the lanyard that you wore for the two weeks you were terrified that you were going to loose your ID. Top it off with every single piece of Miami clothing that you own. I would also highly suggest that you find out a campus map and wonder around lost. Also feel free to ask random people where random fraternity houses are.       

Chipotle Burrito
Everyone loves Chipotle. It only makes perfect sense that you would dress like your favorite food for Halloween. All that you need is tin foil, which you either have in your house or you can buy at Wal-Mart or even the MacCracken market. If you really want to push your costume to the next level you can buy or order (online shopping, YAY) a sombrero. Passing out chips and salsa will also make you everyone’s new best friend.       

Hopefully, you have the necessary items to make at least one of these costumes. If not, feel free to wear whatever you can find and making something up.
