The 10 Types of People in Every College Dorm

The Partier

This person goes out every night of the week, no matter the weather, how many tests they have tomorrow or if any of their friends are going. Loud music is blasting from their room at all hours of the day, and they always have friends over. Chances are this person won't be back at school next year because they'll flunk out, but at least they had fun.

The Couple

These two are head-over-heels in love and somehow they ended up in the same dorm. You can't walk back to your room without seeing them cuddling in the common room, flirting outside of the bathroom or holding hands walking to the dining hall.

The Pledge

This guy was someone you hung out with first semester, but now you're not sure if he even lives in your dorm anymore. He's stuck doing pledge chores all day and practically lives in his frat house. When he finally does make it back to the dorm, he's usually the equivalent to a zombie due to his lack of sleep and excessive partying over the past few weeks.

(Just pray that someday his pledge duties will pay off and he'll turn into a beautiful frat boy.)

The Bookworm

This person is always studying. They seem to always have a test or paper due and are constantly stressed. If you need to find them, they'll be in the one of the study rooms. It's probably wise to befriend this person because it's likely that they'll either be a millionaire or your boss someday.

The Random Roommates

These are the roommates that you hear horror stories about. They couldn't be any different, yet somehow they got paired together. There is rarely a day that goes by that one of them isn't complaining about the other. Chances are, one of them likes partying and the other likes studying and getting 10 hours of sleep every night. Either way, just be thankful that this pair isn't you.

The Person Who Never Leaves

You can find this person in the common room at all times. No one knows if they're actually enrolled in any classes, because it seems like they never leave the dorm. They do everything in the common room — eat, watch television, homework and even Skype their mom.

The International Student

This guy is a mystery. You're not really sure if he speaks English or not. He can normally be found in the community kitchen cooking a dish from his home country (a lot of times it's sushi... don't ask me where he bought the fish, but befriend him so you can eat some of this deliciousness).

America's Sweetheart

If it's possible for someone to be too nice or too happy, it's this girl. She's the one who leaves post-it notes on the bathroom mirror that say "You're Beautiful!!!" and "Smile!" and bakes cookies to hand out to everyone for no reason. Her room is probably covered in pictures of her mom and her horse. Sometimes the fact that she's literally always smiling drives you crazy, but you'll never turn down one of her delicious baked goods.

The Gym Rat

Always seen in a cut-off t-shirt, holding a protein shake, and covered in sweat. This guy is the size of the Hulk, because he spends every second of his free time at the gym.

The Best Friend

Despite all of the crazy people in your dorm, there will be at least one person who you totally click with. Whether this person is your roommate or just someone on your hall, they make dealing with all of the stress of college worth it. The memories you have with this person will be ones that stay with you forever!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
