Top 10 Chick Flicks that are a Must See

Every girl has her guilty pleasure watching chick flicks. Chick Flicks give girls the dreams they wish to have with their future boyfriends and significant others. On the other hand, sorry boys, but chick flicks give girls VERY high expectations. There are just so many men in these movies that are a form of their own Prince Charming! These movies make girls feel whole. They make girls feel love and warmth through the couple in the movie. In a way they show a girl how she should be treated, while being realistic, of course. Chick flicks are literally the backbone to a girls knowledge about relationships and love; these are reasons why girls love the movies so much. So who are these men and what movies did they come from you ask?

Going in order from good chick flicks to my personal favorite.

10. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

This movie is an undeniable classic of all chick flicks. A woman writer (Kate Hudson), works for a magazine and writes how to articles. Her best friend had a rough relationship at the beginning so she decides to take on the role of finding a guy (Matthew McConaughey), doing all the things that guys hate (clingy, needy, etc.), and seeing how long it takes for him to break up her. Of course it gets funnier and juicier as the movie progresses, but you'll have to see it in order to find out what happens!

9. Princess Diaries

An average girl finds out that her grandmother is the Queen of Genovia, and that she is inline for the throne of being Princess of Genovia. Chaos breaks out when her high school finds out who she is and her potential future. She also has a big decision of whether or not she wants to obtain that throne and have to change her whole lifestyle. What does she decide and who is by her side?

8. She's the Man

Amanda Bynes is absolutely hilarious when her high school gets rid of the girls soccer team, and she decides to be her brother at a rival high school and plays soccer there. Channing Tatum stars as her, technically her brother's, roommate. He plays soccer and helps her get on the team and be able to play when they play her high school. The romance lingers when they meet, and its due time when things start happening to enhance it.

7. Miss Congeniality

Sandra Bullock plays an intelligent, yet hilarious FBI agent who has to fix a problem within the Miss United States beauty pageant in order to prevent danger from coming upon all the women in the contest. In order to fix this problem she is sent into the pageant as a contestant and has to transform her whole look in order to accomplish it. While hesitant, she does it anyway, and love sparks while she is training for the pageant from the help of another FBI agent Eric Matthews, played by Benjamin Bratt.

6. The Lucky One

A classic movie based on a man who is back from the army (Zac Efron), whom had a picture of a girl that kept him going throughout the war and told himself he had to find her when he got out. He finds her (Taylor Schilling), and she eventually finds out his past. Only then do they realize why they were in search for each other. This movie is awesomely brilliant, intense, and moving all in the same.

5. The Parent Trap

Literally the movie that I watched everyday for about a year straight because of how much I loved it. Twin girls were separated when their parents broke apart, but then randomly realized they were twins when they saw each other for the first time at a camp. The twins come up with a master plan to get their parents (Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson) back together. Did they succeed?

4. The Ugly Truth

Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler play a very strong duo in this chick flick. They are both strong willed and strong headed when it comes to their beliefs on love and relationships. Butler gives Heigl some tips and they eventually have a connection that confuses their situation even more than before. Do they love each other? Or does love not even exist?

3. What a Girl Wants

Amanda Bynes coming in strong again with her awesomely funny attitude towards the situation of her dad being a wealthy politician in Britain. She goes to Britain to find him and realizes that in order to fit in with his new "family", she has to change her ideals a little bit. Along the way she meets a British boy, Ian, played by Oliver James, who is in a band and rides a motorcycle. She can't decide if she should be who she is and be with Ian, or if she should stiff up and be who she needs to be in front of the camera in order to keep her dad around.

2. 13 Going on 30

A funny, yet intense romantic movie about a 13-year-old girl who wishes to be "thirty, flirty, and thriving" and then gets her wish granted, she fast forwards 17 years and is 30 and working for a magazine. She's lost and realizes the thing missing in her current life is her best friend Matty when she was 13. She finds him and tells him everything about how she doesn't know who she is or what happened in the past 17 years. Unfortuantely, he's getting married. How does Jenna Rink (Jennifer Garner) get her high school best friend Matt Flamhaff (Mark Ruffalo) to realize they were meant to be?

1. A Walk to Remember

One of the best romance movies and tear jerker in time. Mandy Moore plays a teenage girl who has known a boy named Landon Carter (Shane West) for pretty much her entire life. They come from very different households and don't really know each other anymore. Throughout this year of high school something happens that forces them to talk again. Their teenage romance sparks interest in each other and they are a match no one ever expected.

All of these chick flicks are amazing in so many different ways. They all are funny and full of love that is so undeniable and just makes a girl want to keep watching until the end. Enjoy boys! Your girlfriends will probably be making you watch at least half of these in your time dating, embrace it!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
