The 8 SNL Christmas Sketches You Need In Your Life Right Now

Unless you've been living under a rock since 1975, or maybe hate happiness, everyone knows "Saturday Night Live" provides us with the absolute best pieces of comedy in the history of the universe. It's gifted us with classics like Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Amy Poehler, and Tina Fey, and we are so incredibly grateful. So what happens when Lorne Michaels, preserver of life and God of entertainment, unites two of the world's greatest blessings, "Saturday Night Live" and Christmas, together in harmony? Joy. Pure joy.

Here are the eight "Saturday Night Live" Christmas-themed sketches you need to see (in order of my favorites). Thank you, Lorne. Thank you.

1. The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation With at a Party

Shoutout to my girl Cecily (who I saw perform at Second City in Chicago during her pre-"SNL" days) for the endless quotes. Like ships that are bipartisan? Learn a book!

2. The Lawrence Welk Show

The classic Kristen Wiig sketch is even better with James Franco and Christmas dresses.

3. Stefon on Christmas

Stefon is another classic in my book. And Bill Hader breaking character gets better and better every time it happens.

4. Drunk Uncle

He's got it all! Bobby Moynihan is making America grapes.

5. I Wish It Was Christmas Today

Should we talk about Jimmy's hair? Unreal.

6. Schweddy Balls

I'm sorry, but if you haven't seen this, I have nothing to say to you.

7. Christmas Album

Okay, maybe I'm a little obsessed with Jimmy Fallon, but he is so funny as Harry Styles. And I'm still laughing at Alan Rickman.

8. Bring It On Down To Wrappinville

Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake could be silently sitting on their phones, and I would laugh. They're geniuses. This is a classic. You know it, and I know it.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
