We know life at Loyola is pretty great, but we all have our pet peeves. I mean, hey, at least it's still the best school in Chicago. Being Loyola students, we all know the true “struggles” that we successfully conquer every day. Here are the 15 most common struggles we experience.

1. Waiting in the line for Mundelein:

Your choices are to show up early, show up late, or show up sweaty and panting from taking the stairs. Or all three.

2. When engrained runs out of apple chips and they offer you potato salad instead:

Acting as if a pickle or potato salad is an adequate substitute.

3. The moment you realize you have three seconds to cross Sheridan:

Because risking your life is better than waiting for that light to change. "Hit me, pay for my tuition." -- Every college student

4. When you have to walk up the stairs of Mertz in negative degree weather:

Tell me again why there aren't stairs inside?

5. When the ice cream machine at de Nobli is still broken:

Let's face it, that thing will never work for more than three weeks.

6. When the bunnies run away, but you really only just wanna be their friend:

I'll take all of them. *side note* Where do they go in the winter? I'll be happy to take them in.

7. When you see the 50th Snapchat about the lake:

Okay, we get it. We have a lake in our backyard and yes, we agree with you. It is pretty.

8. Biosoap:

Need I say more?

9. When you check in your best friend every day that the desk receptionists know their last name (shout out Taylor @San Fran):

*grabs ID even if I came downstairs to check someone else out*

10. When you pass Halas and you know you should put down the burger and fries and go workout, but let's be real, that won’t happen:

The burger is only temporary, Halas will be there forever.

11. When you just need to walk from one building to another, but the wind is so strong that your almost touching the ground with your nose:

Wind game too strong. Where's young Leo DeCaprio when I need him to hold me up? I'll be the Rose to his Jack.

12. Tour groups be like...

"And if you look to your left you can see our most common specimen... a broke, stressed-out college student."

13. When people leave their clothes in the washers for too long:

Dude, set a timer. I really don't want to take out and touch your clothes.

14. You know when a person isn't from the Midwest when they're wearing parkas in 50-degree weather:

Hun, you don't even know... it's not even winter yet... this is child's play.

15. When you finish all your finals and your friends haven't yet:

Good luck on finals everyone! Now you can take a well-deserved break for Christmas :)

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
