Raise your hand if you've ever felt personally victimized by RBF. If you're like me, you've spent your whole life dealing with people who decide they don't like you upon one glance at your most neutral expression. RBF is plaguing women and men all over the world, and it's time we educated those fortunate enough to have not popped out of the womb looking incredibly dissatisfied with just about everything. Here are just a few issues that we, of the RBF population, run into on a day-to-day basis:

1. "I thought you were mean before I met you.

2. If you zone out while staring at someone, they think you were giving them a dirty look.

3. Having to field the irrelevant "what's wrong" question anytime there isn't an expression plastered on your face.

4. When something actually is wrong, nobody notices a difference.

5. Being completely unaware of said facial expression

6. Other girls think you're judgmental.

7. Adults thinks you're rude.

8. Serious selfies are a lost art unless you're actually trying to look like you want to kill all of your Instagram followers.

9. Sometimes you even have trouble figuring out whether you're being sarcastic or serious, because your face sure doesn't give it away.

10. On the bright side, you have no trouble looking intimidating if you need to...

11. And if you aren't in a talkative mood, throw that RBF out there and use it as a social forcefield. Problem solved.

Sometimes having RBF can be a fun little game that only you're in on. No matter which way you look at it, nice people stuck with a mean face can sometimes get the short end of the stick when it comes to making friends. The phrase "Don't judge a book by its cover" is incredibly important to people like us so, maybe next time, have a little chat with somebody before you take one look at them and decide they're soul-piercing stare is a little too much for you.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
