After speeding through "House of Cards," "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and "Orange is the New Black," it was suggested to me to start watching "Parks and Recreation" as my next summer Netflix binge. I used to be a huge fan of "The Office," and remembered watching "Parks and Rec" back when it premiered. For some reason -- which I hugely regret now -- I never got into it.

Fast forward six years later, I finally started watching it expecting not to love it because I usually don't think Amy Poehler is very funny. Boy was I wrong. I don't think I've been more obsessed with a show in a long time.

Poehler's character, Leslie Knope is an amazingly funny, strong and respectable character. I'm only on season five right, now, so apologies if I'm missing anything, but here's a look into why Leslie is a beautiful, talented, brilliant, powerful musk ox.

She's not afraid to stand up for her beliefs.

Down with Sue's Salads.

She's insanely passionate about her job and gives 110 percent, even when she's sick.

The Harvest Festival must go on! And it's not that she doesn't trust Ben, she just doesn't have faith in him.

She keeps her life in perspective and her priorities straight.

And she supports local business, too! She spent over $1,000 in one year on waffles, alone, at JJ's Diner.

She's not afraid to speak up when she doesn't agree with someone's opinion -- especially when it comes to feminism.

Councilman Milton is the worst.

When things stand in her way, she perseveres and creates her own opportunities.

Ron Swanson's Pawnee Rangers don't allow girls so Leslie creates the Pawnee Goddesses all by herself.

She tells it like it is.

Even when she's lying to protect her friends.

She has confidence.

But she still cares about others.

Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13, Leslie and her lady friends leave their husbands and their boyfriends at home and just kick it breakfast style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus, frittatas!

She is always looking out for her friends and doing whatever she can for them.

Even if she can be somewhat of steamroller, at times. It's with love.

And she knows how to have a good time.

She was even lucky enough to find the brilliant, sexy little hummingbird, known as Ben Wyatt.

Favorite TV couple ever. They beat Pam and Jim. There, I said it.

He saw how awesome she was and resigned from his position just to save her. And she got the happily ever after she deserves.

We love you Leslie. Never stop being you.
