A Guide To Atlanta's Best Restaurants

Have you been looking to spice up your palate? Tired of the same old chain restaurants you hit up after a long day at work or class? Well, for those of you who reside in the heart of Atlanta or surrounding suburbs, you're in for a treat. I have compiled a list of top Atlanta restaurants for all my fellow foodies out there.

1. Antico Pizza

Antico's has the freshest pizza you'll ever devour in one sitting.

2. Flip Burger Boutique

If you have ever had the Nutella milkshake at Flip Burger it will change your entire life. Burnt marshmallows and Nutella make everything better.

The local ingredients and grass-grazed ice cream that Jeni's produces is mouthwatering.

4. JCT Kitchen & Bar

JCT has some of the best deviled-eggs and fried chicken to offer.

Three words: pork belly tacos.

6. TWO Urban Licks

Famous for their downtown Atlanta views and wine on tap, this sure is the place to sip on bubbly while taking in all of Atlanta.

7. Chops Lobster Bar

Chop's Lobster Bar may be famous for their seafood and lively atmosphere, but you've got to try one of their Pink Squirrels made from creme de noyaux, white cream de cacao and heavy cream. It's essentially dessert in your mouth.

8. Chops

Personally, I think Chops has some of the best steak. It just melts in your mouth.

9. Bones

As of 2015 it was voted Zagat's best restaurant in Atlanta. Bones has a great atmosphere, great food and an extensive wine list.

10. Vortex Bar & Grill

Vortex has been awarded "Best Burger" from both local and national publications.

11. Tavern at Phipps

NACHOS. Tavern nachos will make you a very happy camper.

Situated right on the edge of Piedmont Park it gives you a taste of park views.

13. Dolce Italian

This is ultimate fine Italian dining.

14. Cypress Street Pint & Plate

Local vendors and organizations help raise donations to charities at Cypress Street.

15. The Optimist

Great seafood and they have putt-putt out front. How fun is that?

16. Gypsy Kitchen

Gypsy Kitchen offers sangria on tap. Some of the best I've had.

17. Ponce City Market

Food tours in Ponce City Market are always a treat!

18. McCray's Tavern

For all you beer lovers there are 45 different beers on tap.

19. Sublime Doughnuts

Who doesn't love doughnuts?

20. Yeah! Burger

Yeah! Burger has your choice of beef, bison, chicken, veggie or turkey burgers to choose from. Everyone's appetite can be satisfied.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
