It's official. Engagement season is in full swing. This is a wonderful time full of warm and fuzzies for many; however, if you are among those of us who will not be getting engaged this season, you probably aren't as enthusiastic about it. (The gorgeous weddings that take place every weekend aren't helping, either.)

It's difficult to wrap your mind around the fact that so many of your friends are starting families when you can't even commit to one major for more than a semester. No matter how hard you try to be a mature adult about this, there are times when you simply can't keep it together. 3. When you finally decide to just get rid of social media:

4. When someone younger than you is getting married, and you accept your future as an old maid:

5. When the ring costs more than your student loan debt:

7. …And seeing them makes you painfully aware of your loneliness:

8. When your mom asks when it's going to be your turn:

9. When you get an invite to the wedding:

The good news is that hopefully, you'll be making everyone physically ill with your significant other someday. Until then, here's to hoping your friends can afford to have an open bar.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
