8 Group Halloween Costumes To Try This Year

It seems like everyone does couples costumes these days, and to be fair they pull them off well most of the time. The real feat, though, is successfully organizing and pulling off a group costume. Grab your squad this October and see if you have what it takes to reach these #spookysquadgoals.

1. The Power Rangers

Is your group ready for morphin' time? The Power Rangers are six spandex wearing super heroes who graced the childhoods of many...truly a fan favorite. Suit up with your friends and spend Halloween kicking butt samurai style.

2. Shark Week

This costume works especially well for larger groups. Gather 6 or 7 friends (or at least people you like more than others) and throw together these easy D.I.Y. costume. You'll pose for dozens of groups shots by the end of the night, guaranteed.

3. Mario Party

It's a cool, it's a Mario! Get retro with this group costume tribute to a beloved video game franchise and have a blast with your group rolling around the streets. Maybe this is how you get to trick or treat as adults?

4. The Cast of OITNB

We've all binged it on Netflix. You and your friends won't struggle to be recognized in these costumes. So go grab some scrubs and start practicing your entrance to "You've Got Time".

5. Sailor Soldiers

Grab some wigs and practice your best anime makeup, because these costumes are adorable! Even if you aren't into the show, these getups are easily appreciated by all.

6. Rock, Paper, Scissors

Don't quite have a big squad? Here is a small costume idea with just as much shock value! The timeless dispute solver of rock, paper, scissors. The opportunity for jokes are endless; these costumes are sure to get you lots of laughs!

7. The Avengers/ A Group of Marvel Characters

These movies were huge, blockbuster successes. With easily recognizable characters, and easily accessible costumes, these getups are clear winners when it comes to group costumes. Plus, who doesn't have the Avengers as their own squad goals?

8. Scooby- Doo and the Gang

The oldest gang in the books, these iconic characters are a common choice for group costumes. Gather up your fellow detectives and head out to unmask all the monsters in your neighborhood, while having the coolest costumes at the party.

Do you and your squad have a plan for this Halloween? You should now! Go out there and set some spooky squad goals this holiday!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
