This is not about a boy.
When I met you, you made me laugh more than anyone in the room. We were literal strangers when we spent the entire night laughing and wandering off by ourselves. I made my first debut on your Instagram and shyly admitted I had creeped on your Facebook. Little did I know, that night was only the beginning and I am so glad it was.
You have changed my life in ways that I can only begin to describe. We are still relatively new friends but you, my friend, are the love of my life. You don't know everything about my past, and I don't know everything about yours -- and that is just fine. We don't need to know all of those things (even if I did know that mean thing you did to your friends when you were 14, I'd love you just the same). What I do know is this: everything that I am at this point in time, I share with you.
Thank you for listening to my endless rants about the one who walked away, and wiping my tears as they fell. Thank you for listening all five times I changed my major and supporting me every single time. Thanks a million for paying for me all the time (I swear I'll pay you back someday). Thank you for picking me up before chapter. Thank you for watching endless videos of my high school dance team and listening to me gush about them, even though I know you don't understand anything I am talking about. Thank you for the laughter and the smiles. And thank you for the cheesy, random gifts you buy me.
When I think about all the times we've had together in the past six months, I cannot help but be ecstatic about the future. I was not lying when I posted that picture of us to Facebook captioned, “She's gonna be my maid of honor." I know you are stuck with me for the next three years (at least) and even though you are a recent addition to my life, I cannot imagine what I am going to do without you when it comes time to graduate. I have no clue what I did without you for the first eighteen years of my life.
I admire you so much for the person you are and everything you believe in. You are so sweet, caring, and passionate about everything you do -- especially teaching. You are going to be so successful in your career and I cannot wait to brag about you (I already do). You are always willing to take time out of your day for others, and you always put in the time and effort to do things right. I know for a fact you will be there any time of day I need you, no questions.
You are the love of my life and when I grow up, I want to be more like you.
