Movie Review: Hotel Transylvania 2

It's a great time for great movies! This movie happened to be a sequel of a really great movie that came out a few years ago. Hotel Transylvania was such a good movie that they decided to have the great idea of making another one (a great decision in my opinion). This movie was one of those rare times where a sequel is almost better than the original. With it's wonderful plot line, hilarious characters and a lovable baby this movie rivaled those before it!
Read ahead for more awesome reviews of this newest installment of Hotel Transylvania!

This movie was based all around the fact that Mavis (Selena Gomez) and her new hubby, Jonathan (Andy Samberg) just having their first baby. Once the news was broken to Mavis' father, Dracula (Adam Sandler) he tried very hard to get the baby, Dennis (Asher Blinkoff) to get his fangs, because he definitely could be part vampire! Mavis is worried that her father is trying too hard to get Dennis his fangs so she tells Dracula that she and Jonathan are planning on moving away so Dennis can try living with humans, since he might actually be a human. Dracula definitely does not like that plan and tricked Mavis into going on a trip with Jonathan while Dracula (along with this friends Frankenstein, Mummy, the Invisible Man, and Wayne the Werewolf) take Dennis on an adventure to get his fangs. Unfortunately, Mavis finds out, of course, and well you'll have to go see the movie to find out what happens next! But I definitely assure you, it ends with a happy ending.

This movie was full of witty humor, clever puns, and all sorts of great sly adult humor that makes the young children movie all that much better. The characters were full of character development that stemmed from the first movie, although you don't need to have seen the first movie to know what is going on in this one.

The plot definitely takes a bit of the turn for the dark as the movie really gets going and creates a ton of tense scenes that can be a little bit frightening for small children but overall those tense parts really clear up with the humor that is involved in a way that makes you forget it was stressful in the first place.

If you are into cute movies or if you are still in the Halloween spirit I definitely recommend this movie for all people of all ages. It's a great way to spend a few hours and I can guarantee you will even laugh out loud at some parts! Hotel Transylvania 2 is an excellent sequel that you will be reaching for on a cold day cuddled up under the blankets. There is no, as Dracula would say, "blah-blah-blah" about it!

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2023, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.

Christmas is literally so close. We can almost taste it. But there is just one thing standing between you and the big day: FINALS. It's not the studying, lack of sleep, last minute cram sessions or crappy food intake that is the worst... but the fact that you cannot focus because, well, CHRISTMAS. How do professors expect you to focus when Christmas is soooo soon. For all my fellow Christmas lovers out there, I feel your pain.
