Your younger sister may just be your biggest blessing, and here's why:

You have a built-in best friend.

Whether you need to take a trip to the mall for a new dress or you want someone to grab ice cream with at eleven o'clock on a Tuesday night, she's your girl. Whenever you need a friend she's there for you no matter what.

You basically have two closets.

When you're leaving for the night and you realize the shirt you planned on wearing has a giant stain on the front, she's there to help you out. What's yours is hers and vice versa.

She'll love you no matter what.

You could be screaming at each other at the top of your lungs one night and the next day you're back to being best friends. You don't have to worry because you know she's not going anywhere.

You have someone that looks up to you.

When you were younger it probably seemed annoying having someone copying your every move. But now that you're older you love being there to give advice when ever you can. Whether it's about outfits, boys, or choosing a college, getting to help your sister make decisions is the best feeling.

She understands things no one else can.

She's been there for every second of your life so she's gotten pretty good at understanding how you feel. She sometimes knows what you like and what you don't even better than you do. On the days when you're upset for no reason she gets it and knows exactly how you feel.

You can communicate without even speaking.

The second your sister walks into the room she already knows what you're thinking. She looks at you and knows exactly what you want her to do. And when you can't explain what you're thinking she is right there to pull the words right out of your mouth.

She'll give you her honest opinion.

When you decide you want to try a new color of eye shadow she won't hold back from telling you just how ridiculous it looks. She knows you can take it, and she's willing to hurt your feelings a little if it keeps you from making a huge fool of yourself. You can count on her to give you an honest opinion even when everyone else won't.

You have someone to back you up with your parents.

That night at the dinner table when you decided to tell your mom that you didn't think it was fair that you had to do the dishes she was right there to back you up. Whether you're right or wrong she'll never let you stand up by yourself.

You have the same sense of humor.

Half the stuff that comes out of her mouth is absolutely hilarious. Maybe it's because your parents are often the punch line but for whatever reason she knows exactly how to crack you up.

You have someone by your side every step of the way.

No matter what life throws at you, you're not in it alone. Whether you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to have a movie marathon with, she's got your back. She will always be there to put you back together and reassure you of just how awesome she thinks you are. At the end of the day, you've got the best friend you could have ever asked for.
