New Festival For Summer 2016: Chicago Open Air
ChicagoOpenAir

This summer, Bridgeview Illinois and Toyota park will be hosting a new three-day music festival called Chicago Open Air. The event will happen from July 15 to July 17 with craft beer and plenty of great Gourmet Man Food as well. If you don't know what Gourmet Man Food is, you must experience it for yourself http://chicagoopenair.com/gourmet-man-food/. The festival will be hosting some pretty big names in the alternative music genre, which is sure to not disappoint.

Chicago always has great festivals, but I cannot deny my excitement for the debut of Chicago Open Air. It's something fresh and new; I think it will be a huge success. I think the dynamic will be really great with the craft beer and food being served. Anyone from the region cannot deny what this festival will be offering. It's not often that you get so many big names in alternative and rock bands in the same city for three days straight. Being from the region, I have to say that this may be one of the best festivals to hit Chicago this summer.

The line-up will be spread across the three-day event; with a headliner from Rammstein. They will start out the festival on Friday, followed by 14 other bands including Chevelle and Megadeath. The second day of rock-and-roll will start out with Disturbed, along with 14 other bands; including Breaking Benjamin and Nothing More. Sunday will end the festival with Slipknot and 14 other bands including Letlive and Marilyn Manson. The show will have a total of 42 bands rocking out in the Windy City.

The range of bands is something that can attract people of all ages, and that's why I feel this festival will be a success. VIP tickets will be offered for the event ranging from $219.50 for field tickets, $119.50 for GA Bowl, $399.50 for Weekend VIP, Weekend VIP 2-Packs: $860.00 and Single Day GA Bowl for $49.50.

According to a press release from Ashton-Magnuson Media, the festival will open at 11:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday with the exception of it opening at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. It also states that the festival is produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, Live Nation and Toyota Park, with the support of the Village of Bridgeview and Bridgeview Mayor Steven Landek.

I think it was time that a new festival made way in Chicago. What better way to kick of summer 2016 than a new way to enjoy music, food and drinks? Chicago never disappoints when it comes to music festivals, and I can say I will definitely be attending Chicago Open Air.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
