My biggest regret is not eating two extra cupcakes after dinner. My biggest regret is not spending more money than I own. My biggest regret is not forgetting to study and failing a test.
Eat a cupcake if you want to! Who cares about weight if the cupcake is putting a smile on your face? Who cares about saving up for the future when there is something that you really want to buy right now. Who cares if you messed up a test because you were laughing too hard with your friends and were not ready to leave their room?
My biggest regret is having regrets. Don’t be confused and think of this a carefree lifestyle or being heartless. Life is too short to be anything, but happy. Why waste time and let yourself be surrounded by pessimistic people and attitudes?
Recently, I have learned to let go of negativity in my life. Everyone needs to let go of toxic people who cause damage in their life. There is no time in my agenda for fake friends, lying and people who damper my day. Cut off those people. Allowing others to interfere with your happiness causes regrets. Take a step back. If you are reading this, you are most likely a college student who is being given the opportunity to receive an education. Educate yourself on how to be happy. Eliminate restrictions, negativity and people who make you bitter. Every day has the potential to be the best day. You should never allow yourself to let unworthy people make time anything less than great.
People always ask me “What do you want to be when you grow up?” The simplicity of my answer shocks them. I want to be happy. I want to look back on life and think about all the times I did not limit myself. I want to look back on the choices I made for myself, and not the choices I made to please others. Time flies by and I want to think about everything I accomplished with a smile. I want to reflect on the times I sat down with my genuine friends instead of realizing how many hours have gone by. I want to reflect on those adventures with people who made the entire trip filled with laughter. I want to reflect on how I did not waste my time and spend every second with people who cared about me, respected me and wanted the best for me. Never look back and think, “I wish I just had taken the risk and done it.” Never waste time on bad people and bad attitudes. Never have regrets. Life is too short to be anything, but happy.
