It is the best time of the year: your birthday. Everything is about you, or at least you think it is.Â
The week leading up to your birthday, you are constantly checking your mailbox. You know your parents and grandparents are going to send you something. You could not be more thankful for your birthday to roll around, 'cause you need the money.Â
When you receive your social calendar, you immediately look to see who you're paired with that night. You pray that it is one of your favorite fraternities. Then you pick out your outfit, where you want to go at midnight and what late night food you are going to order.
Looking hot is definitely an important aspect of your birthday. You want people to look at you and appreciate that you will only be this young once. It is also an excuse to spend an absurd amount of money on rompers from Tobi. That is exactly what I did. The decision between wearing any sort of birthday material is the real question. Are you going to rock a sash? Or a birthday crown? Personally, I think they get stuck in your hair and give you headaches. Also, no one looks good in a sash. Sorry.Â
You have decided that at midnight you are going to go to your favorite fraternity, because you know the most people there and you want people to appreciate you on your birthday. The moment you arrive, people are bombarding you with hugs and happy birthdays! Happy times.
It all comes down to the late night food. So many options. Pizza X, Jimmy John's or Baked? For my birthday this year, I ordered 15 pizzas. No, this is not a joke. It happened. Obviously, it was not all for me, but it was the best birthday present that I got to share with the house.Â
Regardless of everything you do, the day is special to you and the best one of the year. You get presents, hugs and lots of love on social media. Personally, I love my birthday and could not have asked for it to be any other way.Â
I cannot wait 'til I turn the magical number 21. That is when all the shot books come out. But that's another story.Â
