10 GIFs To Accurately Show Your Excitement For The Dixie Chicks Tour

After they announced their tour in Europe earlier this fall, the Dixie Chicks announced that they will be touring the United State in the summer of 2016 for their DCX MMXVI World Tour.

Now, if you are anything like me, you grew up listening to all of the Dixie Chicks songs from "Wide Open Spaces" to "Goodbye Earl," and from "Cowboy Take Me Away" to "Not Ready To Make Nice." This trio is one of country musics' biggest groups of all time, and for good reason. The Dixie Chicks have sold over 30 million albums worldwide, making them the United States' best selling female band of all time. Wow. They are truly incredible. Even though they haven't come out with any new music as a trio since 2006, fans all over the world still adore the Chicks and are super ecstatic for their upcoming tour. And for fans like me, it was such a big surprise that my childhood idols would be touring in the United States. In their announcement video on Facebook, Natalie starts out by saying "Just when you thought you were safe, America, we're back!" Martie explains that it's been ten years since their last tour, and then Emily concludes, "there's no telling what will happen this time."

Ahhh! How could that video not get you excited for the tour? So, to sum up my joy, here are 10 gifs to perfectly describe my excitement for the Dixie Chicks tour for next summer.

When you find out the Dixie Chicks are finally touring in America next summer for the first time in forever.

When you learn that they are coming to a town near you in 2016.

When you finally get to purchase your tickets for the tour and get your confirmation email.

When you randomly remember that you are going to see Martie, Emily, and Natalie in the flesh in just a few short months.

When people question why you are so excited to see "just some group" in concert.

When you learn that some of your friends have no idea who the Dixie Chicks are and also do not know any of their songs. *sigh*

When you get to opportunity to show your uncultured friends the beautiful songs of the Dixie Chicks (i.e. "Wide Open Spaces," "You Were Mine," "Travelin' Soldier")

When you listen to any of their amazing songs and cannot just sit back and resist the urge to dance.

Or you cannot contain your inner Chick when your favorite song plays. You belt those lyrics!

When you are just so excited to finally see your childhood idols in concert on their world tour!

But in all seriousness, the Dixie Chicks are one of those bands that I grew up with. Their songs bring back so many memories from my childhood. So this tour is more than just seeing some country band. It is truly amazing to get to see a trio that helped shape the memories throughout my life.

See you in June, Dixie Chicks!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
