Ahh, "Grey's Anatomy"...where to even begin? I had always wondered what all the hoopla surrounding "Grey's Anatomy" had to do with life, like how could one show be that good? Well, I made the conscious decision to start it the beginning of my second semester of college, and now I completely understand. But for those of you who haven't started yet (because duh, you'll watch it after you read this), I'm not going to spoil anything but for the love of God, please watch it because it will change your life!

OK, so what is all the hype about? To start off, who couldn't love Meredith's openness about being a miserable human being sometimes, just like half of us in the real world are a lot of the time. I am personally not a fan of the typical, cheeky girl-next-door crap mostly because it is crap. Don't get me wrong, being a happy person is the ultimate goal, but nobody is happy all of the time.

Secondly, who doesn't love a good love story in a fantabulous hospital (aka Meredith and Derek), because um, I sure as heck do! Their journey is the perfect example of how hard love really is and how it is the best thing in the whole world at the same time! It honestly gives me chills just reminiscing about my favorite moments (yeah, it's that good).

In addition to Meredith and Derek's love life, Derek's drive to save people's lives on the daily is truly inspiring, and I wish there were more decent human beings like him. He doesn't give up on any type of surgery (and I do many any); he is the perfect example of stubborn person for the right reasons.

Also, I've never been of those people to cry when watching a TV show, because no show has ever been that good. Then, I started watching "Grey's" and I literally cry every night just about because it's realistic and good all at the same time. There are great people, terrible people, people that change over time, or any other kind of person you can think of in "Grey's Anatomy." "Grey's" is a relatable show for any normal human being, and for that reason it truly is the bomb.

My favorite part of "Grey's Anatomy," though, would have to be Meredith and Cristina's friendship throughout the show. Cristina is the epitome of a brutally honest human being and Meredith is the perfect example of a woman who goes through every possible emotion in a single day. The two of them work at their friendship every single day, though, regardless of the day either one of them are having. I mean how great is it to see that finding your person is a possibility in life? Yeah, it's freaking awesome!

For these reasons (and the fact that there are tons of hot men), "Grey's Anatomy" deserves great appreciation. (Drops mic)

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
