Feminists in the past have accomplished great things for my fellow ladies and I. I have the right to vote. I can work and actually be the breadwinner for the family. I can even be in combat positions in the military. However, in recent years, certain women have come in and adopted the title "feminist" and destroyed everything. These women aren't fighting for equality. They are fighting for a little thing I like to call "female superiority."

The kind of women I am talking about are the women that don't just not shave their armpit hair, but they dye it as well. Hey, if we are fighting for equal rights and you want to pull the man move and not shave, have at it! But men don't dye their armpit hair a bright purple. People aren't looking at you weird because they are opposed to feminism. They are looking at you weird because...why on earth is this even a thing?

A few months ago, one of the guys in leadership of the military mentioned, "Hey! Why aren't women required to sign up for the draft if men are?" I wholeheartedly agree with this man. I don't think the draft is even remotely needed anymore but if it were, why are women excluded from it? Men and women are equal, right? At least, I sure like to think so! Some "feminists" came out of their dark hole with unkempt hair and purple armpit hair to yell, "No! Women should not be required to register for the draft!" 'Why?' you may ask? Well, these women said, "Men and women may be equal, but women were needed on the home front to take care of the kids and make supplies for the men overseas."

Wait just one minute..."Take care of the kids?" Isn't this the mentality you have been fighting against for years? Why can't the men take care of the kids?

Which brings me to my next point...I read one of those awesome Facebook debates the other day. You know, those ones that are far more entertaining than they should be? Someone asked the question: "What about the fact that men aren't given paternal leave? What if the mom leaves for good right after birth and the dad can't stay home with his newborn for a few weeks to get the baby settled?" I was thinking to myself, "Hmmm...I never thought about it that way." So a new wave of feminists stepped out into the boxing ring for a round and said, "Men's problems are ultimately women's problems."

Wait...what? "Women are looked at as the one's better fit to take care of the children and that just holds a woman back!" So what you're telling me is...men don't actually have any problems at all?

Look, like I said in the beginning. I love the type of feminists that have fought for my rights to vote and make (mostly) equal pay. But these new wave feminists are destroying the feminist reputation. You can't be paid like a man and treated like you work just as well as a man and then not sign up for the draft. You can't say men just don't have any issues at all. You can't speak up about women being raped every day and not fight for men's rape issues as well. This isn't how any of this works. Fight for equalrights, not female superiority.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
