2016 is right around the corner, and you know what that means...it's time to make a New Year's resolution! These things can go one of two ways: a) you stick to your resolution all year and transform your life for the better or b) you completely forget about your resolution after like January 5th, and then finally remember it when there's 3 days left in 2015.
I fall under the second category, considering I am just now recalling back to this time last year when I told myself that 2015 is going to be my year. That was a little aggressive of me....maybe next year?
New Year's resolutions are tricky, and this year I'm going to take the more practical route. Here are 7 easy, realistic New Year's resolutions for the lazy folks who aren't ready (or willing) to totally transform their lives.
1. Finish an entire thing of Chapstick.
Seemingly impossible...but is it? You can be the judge of that.
2. Brush your teeth for the whole two minutes that you're supposed to.
I know, it's hard. You live a busy life and a whole two minutes is a long time. But you can squeeze it in for those pearly whites.
3. Only let yourself hit the snooze button once in the morning.
It's not going to be easy, and it will take some extreme willpower to not hit snooze four times on a rainy Monday.
4. Take your makeup off before going to bed.
It might be one of the most annoying things ever (especially when you come home at 2 am). But take the few seconds to get one of those makeup remover wipes and do your skin a favor.
5. Take more pictures.
Pictures hold timeless memories. Be that super annoying friend who always takes photos of every person, dog, artsy nature scenery and meal. You may be basic, but everyone will thank you later.
6. Stop talking with your mouth full.
We're all victims of it. You're chowing down on a piece of pizza when suddenly, your friend says something that makes you forget all about the cheesy goodness in your mouth, and you start gabbing away. It's half rude, and half gross, so think before you chat.
7. Talk less and listen more.
Personally, I could talk for days. Listening, on the other hand, is a little bit of a struggle. But think about it, how nice is it when you can tell someone is actually listening to what you say? Returning the favor to your pals when they're chatting with you will go a long way.
