Others can say what they want about “mama’s girls,” but you know that there is no other person you would rather spend your time with than your mom. She is just about the coolest person you know and stronger than any superhero. Being a “mama’s girl” means you love your mom and value her opinion.
Here are five reasons you know and are proud to be a “mama’s girl”:
1. You call your mother for just about anything.
To be a true “mama’s girl,” you have to call your mom for anything and everything. You call her when you’re sad, happy, confused, lonely or you aren’t too sure how to work the dryer in your apartment. Whatever the reason is, your mom answers the phone almost every time and doesn’t seem to mind talking to you about some of the most ridiculous conversation starters that you can think of.
2. You bond over shopping.
You know you probably rely on your mom too much when you would rather go shopping with her than anyone else. When you go shopping with your mom, you can be sure that she is going to have the best and most honest opinion about what you should and shouldn’t buy. You would say that the best bonding experience between a mother and daughter is when they go shopping.
3. She’s the first person you tell when something amazing happens to you.
Whether you got an A on a test or you found out that you got the internship you interviewed for, you somehow have to tell the person you owe all of your success to first. Your mother is the one who will be the most excited to hear about your accomplishments, and be proud of you. There is no one better to share the incredible feeling with.
4. Your mom is your No. 1 fan.
From the time you were in diapers to the day you left for college, your mom has always been there to cheer you on throughout life. She understood when you didn’t want to do something, and she always encouraged you to try new things. She never gave up on you when something you wanted didn’t go your way or when you fell a few inches short of reaching a goal. She was always there on the sidelines, no matter what, wanting you to try your best and feeling her proudest when she sees how hard you worked.
5. She is the best person you know, and you wouldn’t mind being like her when you get older.
The best thing about being a “mama’s girl” is the fact that you get to grow up with a woman who you wouldn’t mind being like when you are older and have your own children. Your mom was the best role model during your childhood and you still learn new things from her everyday. You gain some amazing qualities from her that you wouldn’t give up for the world.
So, tell your mom just how much you love her and look up to her. She never gets tired of hearing it.
