The Seattle Seahawks have a dedicated fan base. Being a 12 brings the community together and has created an atmosphere that is an experience unlike any other. Not a Seahawks fan already? Here are 12 reasons why you should be.

1. Blue Fridays

I never realized until I moved away from Washington that other states don't have anything like Blue Fridays. When I tried to explain it to a Patriots fan and a Chargers fan, they just simply did not understand it. Why limit Seahawks gear to only one day a week?

2. Arrest-free Super Bowl parade

An estimated 700,000 Seahawks fans showed up to the parade in Seattle after the win, and not a single arrest was made. We may not have the best reputation among other NFL fans, but we obviously know how to celebrate safely.

3. Skittles

Because what other team in the NFL had a candy mixed in their colors for a game? Not to mention Lynch’s Skittles commercial.

4. Rainn Wilson’s videos

It is comforting to have Dwight posting threatening messages to our opponents every once in a while.

5. Chants

No Matter where you are in Washington, if you are in a crowd of people and yell “Sea,” everyone will yell back “Hawks!”

6. We have our own number (even if Texas A&M tries to take it away)

The fans are the 12s. We are the 12th man on the field, and the loudest fans in the NFL. The 12 jersey has been retired just for us, and we wear it proudly.

7. Cooper Helfet

No explanation needed.

8. Marshawn Lynch’s interviews

“I’m just here so I don’t get fined.” Hands down one of the most entertaining interviews in the NFL.

9. We create earthquakes

The 2011 Beast Quake. We'll never forget the year the 12s created an earthquake on the Richter scale during Marshawn Lynch's 67-yard run.

10. Celebrities love our Hawks

It isn't only Rainn Wilson who supports the Hawks. Others who have been seen hanging out and supporting our team include Chris Pratt, Will Farrell, Anna Ferris, Duff Mckagan, Macklemore, Drake and more.

11. Russell Wilson’s weekly visits to the Children’s Hospital

Russell Wilson is more than just a fantastic quarterback. He also shows his love for the community by making frequent visits to the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

12. Community

The Seahawks bring the community together more than anything else. Now that I live out of state, the Seahawks are the number one topic to come up when I meet others from the Pacific Northwest. They know how to make people feel like they are a part of something big.

The Seahawks give us endless reasons to love them and keep creating earthquakes to show our support. Nothing beats being a 12.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
