Many of our Facebook friends have chosen to be a distributor for this company. So we have all heard of IT WORKS! ... I mean, how could we not?
For those of you that haven't heard of It Works, let me tell ya about it!
IT WORKS! is a direct selling company that offers professional quality beauty and wellness products. IT WORKS! claimed a staggering $538 million in revenue last year and $1.2 Billion in three years.
What's surprising is this company has done all of this without having any clinically proven benefits.
Job of an IT WORKS! distributor (This was directly taken off of the website):
Step 1. Buy Your Starter Kit for $99
Step 2. Sell Each Wrap From Your Starter Kit for $25 and Recoup Your $100 Investment Right Away
Step 3. Find 4 Loyal Customers (mom, sister, cousin, neighbor, coworker, etc.)… basically ANYONE who wants to try the products at wholesale cost!
Step 4. Find 3 People Who Want to Join Your Team & Make Some Extra Money!
Step 5. Help Your 3 New Teammates Find Their 4 Loyal Customers
This company raises many questions, not just to me, but everyone scrolling through their newsfeed...
Here are five of my questions:
1. What are you selling?
I often times see IT WORKS! posts consisting of only benefits distributors get...nothing about the products at all. This leads into my next question..
2. Have you actually tried all of the products?
3. Why do you post other peoples results...and not your own if it actually works?
4. Are you really making that many bonuses and that much money?
5. Is It Works a Pyramid scheme?
Definition of Pyramid Scheme:
A dishonest and usually illegal business in which many people are persuaded to invest their money and the money of later investors is used to pay the people who invested first
A form of investment (illegal in the US and elsewhere) in which each paying participant recruits two further participants, with returns being given to early participants using money contributed by later ones.
