14 Things People Who Love Christmas Do In December

There are two types of people in this world. There are people who are completely insane when it comes to Christmas and those who aren't. If you are the type that is totally infatuated with this holiday and everything that comes with it, then you know the struggle of having to wait to begin (publicly) showing your affection for what is undoubtedly, the greatest time of year. But as soon as December hits, no more having to secretly listen to your Christmas-themed Spotify playlist at a quiet volume through your headphones at the library or having to confine your Christmas lights to your bedroom. The second the clock strikes 12:01 a.m. on December 1st, all is fair in love and Christmas, and all of these things become perfectly acceptable.

1.Demand a constant loop of Christmas music at your place of work.

You've been asking since Halloween ended, and now your boss finally has to say yes.

2.Live by the rule that nothing is un-decorateable.

But really, what wouldn't look better with a string of lights on it and where wouldn't a little snowman not be cute?

3.Debut all the tacky Christmas sweaters you've been stocking up on all year.

You wouldn't dare to venture out into the public without those norwall socks you found at Target, an XL Christmas sweater and your favorite snowflake earrings.

4. The advent calendar becomes the most exciting part of your day, by far.

May or may not be the sole reason you wake up in the morning.

5. Spend any and all of your free time baking and decorating Christmas cookies.

Everyone loves coming to your house because it almost always smells like fresh cookies, and your fridge is stocked with cookie dough.

6. Jam to Mariah Carey Holiday Pandora station basically 24/7.

To the point where no one even wants to ride in your car anymore.

7. Have no chill when it comes to gingerbread houses.

"I mean you can help if you want, but I just have this certain way I've always done it. Don't touch that!"

8. Deck your pet out to the max.

It's never not funny.

10. Rewatch every old Christmas episode of all your favorite TV shows.

Some of the best episodes of any good TV shows are the Christmas specials.

11. See to it that anything that can be peppermint flavored, is.

Why stop at Starbucks Peppermint Mocha's?

12. Make no plans after 7 p.m. on December 1st through December 25th.

Everyone knows exactly where you'll be.

13. Dedicate all your weekends to making sure you see every single Hallmark Christmas movie.

14. Incorporate classic Christmas movie quotes into every conversation you have.

I dare you to find a quote from "Elf" that can't be worked into any conversation.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
