12 Things To Love About College
Huffington Post

Let’s face it: the transition into college is rough for everyone involved. However, after the first month, I would go ahead and say that’s when you realize how awesome college truly is. Whether you are already attending a university and can already agree with me or are a freshman excited for your new start, here are some reasons why you are going to love college.

1. You're always with your friends.

In college, your friends surround you at all times, whether you live together or just see each other 5,000 times a day.

2. You are finally out of your super small town!

You got out of that small little town finally! Go you. Go be awesome.

3. Can stay up and out however long you want.

You now can literally stay up however long you decide, which can be a good thing, but also a bad thing. Just don’t go over the 48-hour mark, please.

4. Free gym access.

Being able to work up a sweat at the gym is great, and it should be within walking distance... or at least “free,” so why not?

5. Brownie sundaes, ice cream, and pizza are also available at all times.

Here we have the most important food options available, so basically whenever you go to eat, take advantage of them. They're the best part of college, hands down.

6. You're able to take naps without shame.

You don’t have to worry about your parents harping at you for taking naps here; everyone does it. No one is going to nag you, reminding you about all the stuff you have to do. It’s a normal part of the day. It's also the only time some of us sleep.

7. There is always something to do.

There is always something to do at college, even if it’s just chilling with your friends like the norm. You will rarely be bored...

8. You get to choose what you eat.

Whether you are trying to eat healthily or just want to gorge yourself with junk food; no one is here to tell you what you can eat, and you have many options.

9. You don't have to sit in classes all day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Yup, now you (usually) get a lot of time in between classes, which is sick. Go take a nap.

10. You have so much more freedom!

You can do what you want when you want.

11. Most of us don’t have to cook our own food yet... and if you do, it’s by choice.

Another awesome thing is right now you probably don’t have to focus on cooking, and if you do it’s usually because you are a remotely good cook, so I applaud you!

12. The fact that it’s actually cool now to be smart.

It's awesome because it’s OK to be smart, so show off how much you know! People in college actually like when other people know what they are talking about.

female tv characters
We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
