Have you waited until the last minute to go Christmas shopping? Are you panicking because you have no ideas? Do you really feel like your mom deserves a great gift? Have no fear, because here is a list of great last-minute gift suggestions for one of the most important people in your life.

1. Candles/decorative candle holders

Candles are always a good option, and Yankee Candle has a lot of great Christmas scents and holders and toppers.

2. Cute kitchen towels, pot holders, etc.

You can buy these from almost any store, and they help decorate for the holidays!

3. A new coffee mug

Most moms rely on their coffee, and every coffee drinker loves a cute new cup.

4. Winter accessories

Scarves, gloves, hats: everyone loves new cozy accessories. The North Face has some great sets that are cute and super toasty.

5. Gift card to her favorite store

Your mom deserves to be treated to a little shopping spree of her own. If she's not big on shopping, you can get her one for Starbucks, iTunes, or her favorite restaurant.

6. Lotions, shower gels, soap, etc.

These little things are great gifts that are always needed and always used. Bath & Body Works has so many great Christmas scents, and they run different sales all the way up to Christmas. So whether she loves vanilla, peppermint, cinnamon, or anything else, they most likely have it.

7. Music

If your mom is like my mom and loves music, choose a boxed set of albums from her favorite artist, or pick some new music within her favorite genre for her to listen to.

8. Blankets

Who doesn't love a good fluffy blanket? Especially as the weather gets colder, she will love a soft, warm blanket like this big one from Kohl's.

9. Sweaters

Sweaters are a perfect gift, as long as you know what size she wears. You can get her a big, over-sized one for lounging around the house, or a dressier one for work. While sweaters can run on the more expensive side, Kohl's and JCPenney almost always have good deals and sales.

10. Purses/Wallets

If your mom is very specific about the type/brand of purses she likes, I wouldn't pick this option. However, if she isn't very picky about what she wants, this can be a great choice since purses come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, making it easy to find something she would love.

11. Something homemade

While this usually isn't the go-to option, if you are crafty, you can always make a homemade gift like an ornament, photo frame, or art you've done. These gifts tend to be some of the most heartfelt, and a great choice if you're good at artsy things (unlike me). Pinterest is the place to go for these types of ideas.

The most important thing to remember is that your mom will love whatever you get her, no matter what it is. Whether it is big or small, expensive or cheap, home-made or store bought, she will think it is the greatest gift ever just because it came from you. Happy shopping and merry Christmas!

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.
