When You're The Monica Geller Of Your Friend Group

You wouldn't be surprised if the president called you up and asked for advice on organizing things.

There comes a point when all your friends are able to firmly identify which "Friends" character they are. Some sarcastic, emotionally stunted friends are Chandlers. Some aloof friends are Phoebes. But some of us -- some of us are Monicas.

1. You're the cleanest of your friends, and you let them know.

You have a system for everything, a certain way of completing every task, and you have a certain way you want your living space to be -- and that's spotless. Why is there a dirty dish in the sink when they could be in the dishwasher? Did the rug move? Why are there feet on the coffee table?

Yeah, don't mess with our system. We'll notice.

2. You also are the most organized.

Yeah, don't mess with our organization. It's a system that can't be broken. You wouldn't be surprised if the president called you up and asked for advice on organizing things.

I mean, check out our planners -- they're immaculate.

3. You're usually right, and if you're not, you're still right.

You are never wrong, and when you are, you are so stubborn that you won't ever admit it. Never. Your ideas are always right, and you're the smartest person in the room. Don't test us, we'll show you up (usually).

4. You're the most competitive of your friends.

It's just your nature and you can't help it. Just like you're always right, you always win. And you'll do anything to win. So look out, losers!

5. You're determined to be the best.

And you won't be less than the best. Ever. Sure, some people might see your need to be the best as a weakness. But obviously they're not the best, so that's why they're saying that.

6. Regardless, though, you still have a childish side.

And you'll find someone who you can be a child with. You'll find your lobster, or your Chandler.

7. And you wouldn't be anywhere without your friends.

They're your rock, the lights of your life. Even when they're making your house a mess, eating the gourmet food you prepared for them, or not living up to your high standards, they're still the one true thing you need in your life.

You wouldn't be the person you are today without them.

So, being the Monica of your friend group really isn't that bad. You're clean, driven, and have goals. You know what you want and know how to get it. You're determined to be the best, but you can't get anywhere without the help of your friends.

Cheers to the Monicas -- you keep the world spotless!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
