Preseason As Told By GIFs

Ah, preseason. Summer is finally coming to an end and all your months of hard work and training are ready to be put to use. Coaches are prepped, fields are groomed and teams are ready start their quest at a championship season. Here's a little look at preseason... as told by GIFs.

Finally being reunited with your teammates.

Only to sit through hours of meetings,

And physicals.

Walking into your locker room and seeing new apparel, shoes and gear in your locker.

Then there's the thought of your fitness test in the morning...

But then the relief once it's over...

Being able to shove your face at the dining hall.

And barely being able to make it to your bed before you fall asleep.

Having to set your alarm for 7 a.m.

"Good Morning, It's going to hit 90 degrees today."

Knowing you have a two-a-day ahead of you.

The bitterSWEET feeling of an ice bath.

Getting to know the new freshmen...

When your parents call and ask how practices are going.

Having your teammates support when things get hard.

When your coach plans team building activities.

Feeling mentally and physically prepared to take on the season.

IT'S HERE, THE LAST DAY OF PRESEASON!

Congrats! You finally have a day off!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.

Your Friend Group, As Told By Disney Princesses

Each Disney Princess has their own personality, and chances are you've got a friend in your group to match it.

Disney Princesses

The dynamics of any friend group are usually determined by the personalities which make it up. Chances are, while personalities may overlap, each person in your friend group holds his or her own place. It is the differences which bring the groups together and keep them functioning. No matter how functionally dysfunctional your friend group may be, if you're anything like me, you feel absolutely blessed to have found such a wonderful group of humans to call "your people." Here is what your friend group might look like if they were Disney princesses (and that wasn't just a thing you all pretended in your heads):
