College Struggles, As Told By Ellen DeGeneres

College can be the BEST four years of your life, but let me reiterate that it can be a struggle at times. You are finally free and independent, it's time to live it up. It's also time to cry in a corner from all the stress.

Ellen speaks the truth 24/7, and if you're not utterly obsessed with her, then I am judging you. On another note, as I've come to realize some of her funniest moments are so relevant to so many of our "the struggle is real" college moments. Enjoy.

1. When this is what you like to tell yourself, but you try to make it thru one day without the addictive drink, and it is an absolute fail:

2. When you decide to wear a "Groutfit" (all grey everything) to class because you don't want everyone to fall in love with you -- or you're just the laziest human being alive. YEAH, THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT:

3. When stress eating becomes a social norm. Eating an entire pizza by yourself while binge watching Netflix is completely necessary sometimes. #SorryNotSorry:

4. When you attempt to rationalize why you should get points back on a test to a professor (thank you Google):

5. When you're broke and you jump for joy when your parents send you some money in the mail. (It's gone in a week BECAUSE FOOD):

6. When the professor is trying to have a confusing lecture on a Monday morning:

7. When your professor says "POP READING QUIZ" and you're just like CAN WE NOT:

8. When your professors all decide to ruin your life by assigning a group project, tests, papers -- ALL DUE AT THE SAME TIME. Yes, they want us dead:

9. When you're so stressed out and confused about what your life even is at the moment that you just have to laugh. BUT THEN YOU START BAWLING THE NEXT MINUTE:

10. When you realize that you have three tests in the same week, and you know absolutely nothing:

Oh.... YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS.

Now there is a totally logical explanation for procrastination. You heard it from Ellen, so it must be true!

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.

I am without a doubt one of those people who refuses to start decorating for Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has become an underrated holiday over the years. You barely see any Thanksgiving decorations in stores; it's like they skip right from Halloween to Christmas.

Some universities only get two or three days off for Thanksgiving break. Or, if your university is like mine, you get the whole week off go go home. A whole week off is a long time. I'm not complaining, because I'd rather have a whole week off than three days, but there is a lot of down time. Here are some ideas as to what you can do to get the most out of your Thanksgiving break.

It's that time of year again- Thanksgiving Break is finally approaching. For college students everywhere, Thanksgiving is a time to relax and not really worry about homework (well, depending on what major you're in).
