Packing up is one of the most stressful times of the scholastic semester. On top of all the finals you have to prepare for and take, you also have to pack up to go home.

You think, “Oh! This won’t be too difficult, I just have to organize, trash stuff I don’t need, and pack things into boxes!” but, no. It is never just this simple.

Your room turns into this disastrous mountain of everything you’ve done this semester. It becomes a hurricane of memories and garbage, your room becomes your own personal demon, devouring your time, effort, and sanity.

Well, as you spend 57 hours getting your dorm room all packed up, binge listen to TV shows on Netflix while doing the previously mentioned, and eat leftover lollipops and Taki’s, here are the 15 thoughts you have while packing to go home;

1. Did I originally bring this much stuff?

I literally have no idea how I'm going to bring everything home in one trip. Thank God for donating extra clothes to Savers and binge-eating all of my left over food.

2. I'm really going to miss all of the fun times I've had in here...

I've actually been having a lot of fun at college, why do I have to go home?

3. When did I have so much food in my fridge?

I've had food in my fridge all along? Instead of cursing the Caf, I just should've eaten here!

4. Where did all my chips go?

Oh yeah...That's where they went...My stomach.

5. How much money did I spend on food this semester?

Oh, that's why I'm broke all of the time.

6. Hey! I’ve been looking for this since break, it was from the time we [insert fun thing you did regarding the memento]!

Good stories, better times.

7. I hope I have enough toothpaste and shampoo until school is out.

I don't have any more money, I gotta make that last paycheck stretch until I find a summer job.

8. That's where that one book for my Psych class was! I've been looking for it all semester.

And to think I could've been reading it all along.

9. How am I going to survive this week?

I'm dying.

10. How am I going to live without my roommate(s) for an entire summer?

Woah, I'm really going to miss all of my friends here, I only know three people back home.

11. *Upon finding dozens of receipts and take-out forks*

Okay, seriously? How much money did I spend on food?!

12. I've been packing so much that I haven't spent any time thinking about my project that's due tomorrow.

Fake it 'till you make it, #amirite?

13. I don’t have time for this.

I just want to not, is that okay?

14. I just don’t want to do anything. Can I just live in my dorm year-round?

I'm so done with everything. I just want to sleep at normal hours and eat whatever I want.

15. Why haven’t I made any summer plans?

It's okay, the other sibling can be the golden child. I'm happy just watching Netflix and eating mashed potatoes until I die.
