6 Reasons Sean And Catherine Are Bachelor Nation's Greatest Outcome

Society has grown to be driven by reality television. Everywhere you look, there are posters, billboards, commercials, magazine ads, you name it, with reality TV characters plastered all over. People will even dramatize and exaggerate their lives to parallel the lives of those on reality TV.

"The Bachelor" is one show that I find particularly interesting. Since 2002, men and women have gone on the show to find true love. What I find peculiar is the dynamic of the show. True love is the objective and the goal. Contestants go in expecting happily ever after once they come out on the other side. However, this rarely happens. The exception is Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici. This power couple is without a doubt the best couple to come out of "The Bachelor." Here’s why:

1. They are the only couple who actually got married post-finale.

Out of 17 seasons, Sean is the only Bachelor to marry the girl he picked in the finale. The rarity of this occurrence makes sense; considering the very short amount of time they spend with one person over several weeks, it’s no wonder that no one has lasted before.

2. Hollywood hasn’t changed them.

In fact, being in the public eye for the last few years has propelled their careers in the most positive way. Sean competed on "Dancing with the Stars" following the finale of "The Bachelor" and has written a book called “For the Right Reasons” that took America by storm. Catherine has been staying busy as well. She currently works as a graphic designer for Amazon and is a successful vegan food blogger. This couple has taken their fame procured from their time on "The Bachelor" and has used it for good, not evil.

3. They are not afraid to share their religious journey.

Speaking of using fame for good, Sean and Catherine have not been shy when asked about how they waited to have sex until marriage. Sean was known as the “Virgin Bachelor” after revealing this personal fact about him and his fiance, but he didn’t let it break him down. Since the wedding, Sean has made an effort to tell the world his story through “I Am Second” and to reach out to those in the same shoes. He and Catherine also attend a church in Dallas, where Catherine sings on stage every Sunday.

Here are some bonus reasons why Sean and Catherine are just about the coolest people ever.

4. Sean live tweets during "The Bachelor." Need I say more?

5. Their dogs are basically their children.

6. They competed on "Celebrity Family Feud."

This is what every couple should strive for in their relationship. Sean and Catherine are a great example of an honest, down to earth, quirky couple with relationship centered around Christ. If you are looking for someone to model your relationship after, look no further. Sean and Catherine Lowe are arguably some of this generation’s greatest role models.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
