18 Signs You're Addicted to Coffee

Ah yes, I remember my first cup of coffee. It was a morning before school in the seventh grade. It tasted truly awful. But somehow I managed to finish the cup and have thus continued the cycle for the following eight years until I have become what I am now admitting... a coffee addict. It is something that builds up over time, and like any other addiction, it would be difficult to break. You may not think you are (or at least won't admit it out loud), but after reading these signs, I'll let you be the judge of that.

1. You MUST have it every morning.

Let's be honest, mornings are hard enough as it is. If you take away the coffee then the day is automatically going to doomed and spiral out of control by 9 a.m.

2. Your travel mug is an extension of your arm.

When you go to class without a mug you suddenly feel cold, lost and don't know what to do with your hands.

3.You can conquer several flights of stairs without spilling a drop.

But really, it should be some kind of Olympic sport.

4. The "No Food or Drinks" sign does not apply to your coffee.

Try to make me throw it away. I dare you.

5.Catching up with friends = coffee date.

I haven't seen you all semester? Perfect; let's meet up at a coffee shop soon and catch up.

6. You have at least one cabinet dedicated to mugs.

When suddenly there becomes a shortage of coffee mugs have no fear, you've got enough for a small village to drink coffee from.

7. The go-to gift from friends and family is a Starbucks gift card.

And you don't even have to pretend that you're excited about it. Now, you don't have to feel so guilty about the amount of money that you spent there last month.

8. You naturally feel at home in any coffee shop.

So what if you've never been to this particular coffee shop before? You know what you want to order, you understand to Do's and Don'ts of how to act in every coffee shop around the world and you know that no matter what you're going to be leaving with the best coffee in hand.

9.Anytime is a great time to drink coffee.

Whether it's 6 a.m. or midnight you're always down to have another cup despite the concerned looks you might receive.

10.When your hands start shaking you simply take a mental note to drink less coffee tomorrow.

Oh, you're worried about my trembling hands? It's fine, this is only my seventh cup today (and don't even get me started about when my heart starts beating too fast).

11. You have a budget dedicated to how much money you're allowed to spend on coffee.

If it's the end of the month I will pay for my coffee in change without an ounce of shame.

12. You have multiple flavors of creamer in your fridge.

You may not have any groceries, but you do have enough creamer to least you a solid two weeks.

13. You have trouble trusting people who say they don't like coffee.

You can't believe that they would speak such words. Haven't they tried this stuff?

14. When people tell you to try tea instead, you're immediately offended.

You're joking... right?

15. Caffeine Migraines are a serious thing.

What's wrong?! My head is pounding and I would go to extreme lengths for a latte right now.

16. It has started to have less of an effect on you.

As the years go by, you start noticing that just one cup doesn't seem to do the job anymore. So now you'll need to drink at least two or three... or seven.

17. When people tell you that you need to cut back on cups-per-day ratio, you feel betrayed.

I thought we were friends? We shared mochas together...

18. You've been drinking coffee while reading this article.

Cheers to you my fellow coffee-holics! May your days been filled with cute mugs, few migraines and endless cups of happiness (because let's be honest, you're hooked for life).

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer. And if you haven't already guessed, it's beer. There are few things I take more seriously than my beer, in order are: sports... and beer. Here are my favorite summer brews:

Bruce Springsteen's Top 7 Lyrics

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

5617
Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I have learned many valuable lessons away from home, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Pennsylvania. One thing that my experience has taught me, however, is that it is absolutely impossible to beat a New England summer.

You cannot beat the beach. Believe it or not (which many people may not), New England has a long and beautiful coastline. Most of my high school summers were spent sitting on the Wall at Hampton Beach, getting sunburnt and eating Acai bowls from The Secret Spot. The Wall was the place to be both during the day and at night. We begin our days there with a KB's bagel and coffee, and end them with pizza and ice cream. It’s not a New England summer without that 4 p.m. text from someone, “Who wants to meet at the Wall tonight?” Nighttime is for Tripoli’s Pizza, the sound of waves, and wishes on shooting stars. Wednesday nights are especially important, as those are the nights that Hampton Beach sets off the weekly firework display.
