8 K-pop Dances That Will Help You Exercise
SBS

Ever want to exercise but don't want to physically get on the treadmill? Are you trying to get into K-pop but aren't sure if you'll be that into it? Or just need new music to help make your work out more fun? This article is for you!

I have looked through many K-pop dance videos and checked which ones are both fun and keep you moving. Whether you are a dancing machine or have two left feet, these K-pop dances will help you make your exercise less agonizing.

You will mainly follow the chorus since most people will recognize that part anyway. If you want to follow the whole choreography, you are more than welcome to. So grab your sweatpants, dancing shoes, and headphones because it is time to dance your heart out, K-pop style!

Each two songs will be leveled from easy to hard and I will add more honorable mentions in case you need more songs to exercise with. It's time to dance!

Easy:

Wonder Girls - “Nobody”

What you need to do:

This famous song by Wonder Girls is easy to follow and dance to if you're a K-pop beginner. The first chorus part is very easy. The main part of the dance is pointing as if you're dancing for someone special. As long as you get the pointing down, everything else will be fine. If you want to follow along with the group, watch the original music video here.

Big Bang - “Bang Bang Bang”

What you need to do:

If you are following the chorus, the main things you're doing will be moving your arms and hands because you will be swinging each arm above your head like you're cheering for your favorite football team. Then form one hand as a gun near the end of the chorus. What is great about this dance is that there aren't a lot of moves to really think about. So go on and become a Big Bang.

Medium:

2NE1 - “I am the Best”

What you need to know:

The only hard part in this dance is the bridge near the end of "I am the Best." It mainly focuses on your confidence and how you own it through its choreography. "I am the Best" is one of those dances where you unleash your badass self. While there are other parts, such as smoothing your hair during the chorus and the intro part, as long as you can let loose and are willing to freestyle it, you'll be the best.

Teen Top - “Rocking”

What you need to know:

The first chorus starts with moving and flexing your fingers like you're gesturing "blah blah" at someone, which is very easy. However, the hardest part about this dance is the leg work. It requires a lot of moving your feet and legs at a fast pace. This can be good for your lower body if you need to work on that. Otherwise, good luck and keep rocking!

Hard:

BTS (Bangtan Boys) - “Dope”

What you need to know:

From beginning to end, "Dope" requires many steps. I recommend watching each shot and mimicking the way they dance to this catchy beat. Similar to "I am the Best," this dance requires confidence and bringing your badassness. If you want to see how it looks in a music video, watch the video here.

G-Friend - “Rough”

What you need to know:

Like "Dope," "Rough" has many steps to follow. It also has a theme of time, and in a way, of being elegant. Watch each shot and practice how this Korean group dances to it. If you want to see how this girl group put it together, watch the dance version here. If you really want to challenge yourself, test yourself with the dance two times faster.

If you like these awesome tracks but want more, here are some honorable mentions with levels.

SHINee - "Lucifer" (Hard)

Orange Caramel - "My Copycat" (Medium)

Seventeen - "Mansae" (Medium)

Girls' Generation - "I Got a Boy" (Hard)

2PM - "Go Crazy" (Easy)

Apink - "No No No" (Easy)

Hope you all enjoy this exercising playlist. If it keeps you moving, then that's great! If you're reading this and not getting off of your bed, I hope you are exercising your mind with new music. Now dance away, and have fun!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
