Everyone knows what time of the year it is: prom season! As a college student, I have to admit that I've been a little jealous seeing the countless prom posts and remembering that my prom days are over. At the same time though, it doesn't hurt to look back on the memories. Same goes for the high school seniors who had their last prom. Here's to my prom experiences with the friends that I am eternally grateful for! Much love squad!

1. The Promposal Itself!

Maybe yours was ridiculously funny, super romantic or even just plain nonsense. Regardless, you can say it made your day. Prom here we come!

2. Finally Wearing The Dress You've Obsessed Over For The Past Month.

Picking it out was one of the most crucial decisions of your life. Prom dress shopping is an art. You may or may not have tried it on a few times in the weeks leading up to prom. No shame, ladies.

3. The Overprotective Dad Situation

It's not funny in the moment, but when you look back you have to laugh. What else are dads for?

4. The Mom Situation

She might have been overbearing, but it was out of love.

5. The Dysfunctional Photo Shoot With The Squad That Takes 30 minutes Because Everyone Needs Their Own Instagram Picture to Post

Okay, so it may not have been this much of a struggle, but there's always that one friend who can't take a picture without making a weird face. Then there are the issues of blinking, not looking at the camera issue, hair and the dress not cooperating. Once all is said and done, you're happy with at least one of the approximately 547 pictures taken.

6. The Obvious Photo Shoot With The Date. Y'all Killed it. Pictures Can Range From This...

7. to this...

8. Shoving Your Face With Amazing Food

At least you looked cute doing it. Whether it's a get together at one of your friend's houses or going out for dinner, you were sure to take advantage of every bite on your plate. That's okay because dancing made up for it, right?

9. Dance And Sing Like Nobody's Watching

Nobody is actually a good dancer anyway and what else is a prom for?

10. Squad Hangout Post Prom So That The Fun And Eating Continues

Can you say delirious? It wasn't time for the night to end. This is where some of the most hilarious memories are made. NO "RAGRETS!"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
