March Madness and St. Patrick’s Day are without a doubt, the highlights of the month of March. The tournament takes up almost an entire month making the college basketball tournament a big deal, also showing its importance.
Filling out brackets and betting on that team who will win the tournament are super exciting and give you something to look forward to. When your brackets start to fail and your top teams seem to loose before you thought they would, that’s when the problems start to arise.
The tournament is the best part of mid-March and early April because of the division one basketball teams coming together to play a tournament. Whether you are into the popular men’s basketball or women’s basketball, both are fun when you’re rooting for your favorite team.
Going to that division one school is even better because you get to cheer for your team that is playing in the tournament. Whether your team loses the first round, Arizona, or makes it to the final round, you, at least, get bragging rights to the fact that your school got to play in the March Madness tournament.
Getting to attend the games is a nice bonus to March Madness. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on some tickets, appreciate whatever team you get to see and be even more appreciative if it is your team. It’s always a toss up of who you’re going to see during the game because it is never 100 percent to who will be going to the next round.
Watching the games on television are a benefit as well because, during March Madness, there are games almost on any sports channel. CBS, TNT, TRU and TBS are just four channel that broadcast the tournaments many games and for the basketball enthusiast that is heaven. Twenty-four-seven basketball for that extent of time is great because you can just turn on the television and not have to question what to watch, just watch one of the tournament games.
The championship game is basically the Super Bowl of college basketball. When it comes down to the final two teams, it gets intense. Whether they’re your picks for the championship game or not, the game is a must watch. It is the final event for your bracket, therefore, it is the most important.
It is a great harmless bet between friends, significant others or co-workers. If you don’t want to fill out a bracket but you want to still make a smaller bet, then just say who you think will get further than your opponent’s team. Picking out the perfect bracket selection can be time-consuming but just placing a bet that Duke will last longer than Gonzaga is a fun, harmless bet.
March Madness has many perks such as the games, the television coverage of the games, betting and watching your division one school progress, or not, within the tournament. All of these factors show that the tournament is the best time of March and April.
