A Lot Obsessed With Our Littles

Whether it’s our first born, a fittle (fake little), our frat son or twins, we can’t get enough of our littles! They have changed our lives for the better in ways we never could’ve thought. Here’s why:

1. They were your total rush crush — the first time you hung out, you knew it was meant to be.

2. You probably Facebook stalked them and fought to the death till they were yours ... literally fought to the death.

3. Even before they were yours, you showed friends who your little was going to be.

4. You tricked them (or tried) during Big-Little week, but they forgave you.

5. The Big-Little universe expands to your friends who call your Little "niece," and they call them "aunts."

6. It's weird to go places without each other.

7. “Your Little is hot” is a commonly said by your guy friends, but you already knew that.

8. You refer to all very good or very bad decisions as "Like Big, Like Little." Other people can see it too.

9. You have the cutest pictures and have determined each others "best side."

10. You share a love for food. You go out at least twice a week just for food runs.

11. They are always down for adventure with you.

12. They are only person you will spend hours and hours crafting for.

13. You have some weird choreographed dance moves together.

14. They're your spring break buddy — you literally planned a whole trip to Cabo in less than a week.

15. They are a part of your actual family. They have been invited to family outings including dinner with your parents.

16. They refer to your boyfriend as a big bro.

17. You know you can call them for anything.

18. You are each other’s biggest cheerleaders.

19. You set each other up on dates.

20. Even though you’ve probably ditched your date once or twice.

21. You usually just want to go with your Little because it's more fun.

22. Sometimes they act like the "Mom."

23. You take care of each other. She will never let you text that boy past midnight.

24. They always have your back, through thick and thin.

25. You do more then just party together.

26. There are some people you just don't get along with, and your Littles don’t care for them either.

27. You motivate each other to feel confident and be your best selves.

28. They know all your secrets.

29. They look up to you. You are there role model.

30. You always have a shoulder to cry on.

31. They will never judge you.

32. You have someone to laugh with 24/7 (usually at each other).

33. She's your soul mate.

34. Sometimes you go into “Mom” mode to protect them. No one will ever be good enough.

35. They are your child.

36. They are the cooler, smarter, prettier, better version of you.

37. When they are a new member they make you fall in love with your sorority all over again.

38. They are obviously a bridesmaid at your wedding.

39. They are the most amazing people you will ever meet.

40. You'll always have a best friend for life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
