11 Reasons You Should Join Zumba Class

With its catchphrase being "Ditch the workout, join the party," Zumba class is clearly not an ordinary type of workout. Over the past few years, it has been increasing in popularity due to its unique approach to fitness. Whether you are in great shape, religiously go to the gym or you are trying to find the perfect class to segue yourself back into a healthy lifestyle, Zumba is the perfect class to add to your routine. Versatile and just plain fun, there are so many reasons to join the Zumba party.

1. Zumba Is For Everyone

While Zumba is a dance-based workout, you by no means need any prior skill to joining the class. Zumba classes are usual composed of diverse age groups and fitness levels. Kids, teenagers, adults, and even some senior citizens attend the same classes. An instructor will customize the routines and welcome everyone to adapt it to their own level of difficulty.

2. You Will Dance Yourself Into Shape

The dance routines of Zumba will get your blood pumping and your body moving. The classes do wonders for your cardiovascular system. Attending classes frequently and regularly often lead to weight lose and overall improvement of physical health.

3. Great Way To Tone Your Body

Zumba exercises all parts of the body and fuses various dance styles and workout methods that engage all of your muscles. The various routines will have different focuses such as arms, abs, and legs. During many songs you will also find yourself doing squats, vertical crunches, lunges and so on. Eventually, you will emerge from the Zumba classes with an evenly toned body.

4. You Do Not Realize You Are Working Out

One of the best parts about Zumba is the elements of fun that are tied into every class. In contrast to traditional workout styles, you are not doing repetitive sets or monotonous routines. Each song has new moves and a different style. The instructor might even make you sing, clap, or "WOOO" along. The hour ends up flying by, because you feel more like you're having a dance party with friends than working out.

5. The Price Is Right

Zumba classes generally are very affordable and have the option of paying per class or monthly. Most college campuses and many community centers offer free classes as well.

6. It's The Perfect Class For Friends

Zumba is great to attend with friends, because you can laugh, talk, and be silly with each other as you dance through each routine.

7. It's A Great Place To Make Friends

A lot of classes are full of regulars, so you will begin getting to know the people you see once or twice each week, and you are likely to make a connection with a few of them.

8. The Atmosphere Is Great

There is a strong sense of no judgment, community, and empowerment in every Zumba studio. Everyone is there to have a great time with each other.

9. Zumba Boosts Your Confidence

As with any exercise, your body will produce endorphins, and endorphins make you happy. Zumba takes it a step further and makes you feel sexy. You get to work out while embracing your sassy, fabulous self and a little bit of (okay, a lot of) hip-shaking is always fun.

10. It's A Great Stress Reliever

After a long, stressful day the Zumba Studio can be a sanctuary where you can let loose while still getting fit.

11. Zumba Is Addicting

Chances are if you know someone who has taken a Zumba class, they fell in love with it. Once you start, you won't want to stop. There is a reason it has become so popular and has such a positive reputation. So what are you waiting for? Go join the party and find out for yourself!

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
