When I was little, a trip to the zoo was always a treat. Whether it be to a small zoo in state, or the coolest zoo in the midwest, I couldn't wait. Now, as an adult, I feel the exact same way. I may be 21, but that doesn't mean the going to the zoo should stop.
Thinking back, a trip to the zoo as a kid was totally exhausting! Mom and dad made me walk the whole way! What the heck is their problem?! I am pretty sure that they made us kids walk so we would take a nap after the long day of viewing the animals. Did I ever actually take that nap? Nope.
As an adult, time at the zoo seems to go by pretty fast. You pass the exhibits and make sure to stay at your favorites a little bit longer than the others. You can also cover a lot more square footage in a shorter time as well. You take alot less potty breaks and rarely stop for a snack, because the food at the zoo is way over priced.
Going back to being a kid at the zoo, you could cut in front of as many people as you wanted without any questions asked to get an up-close look at the penguins. As an adult, you are the one that has to stand back and let the kids do so. I've gotta say I'm jealous that I am now too old to cut in line to see those precious penguins.
You want to know what is worst of all about being an adult at the zoo? Well, they usually have little crawl spaces for the kids and there is NO WAY a full grown adult can fit in there without getting stuck or totally embarrassed. How about they make some adult crawl spaces? Adults can have fun too!
No matter your age, the zoo is a place for everyone. It is a place to watch the monkeys swing from tree to tree and watch the sea lions swim in circles. If you need some place to go to for all ages, don't forget to go to the zoo.
