Success

It’s that time of the year again, procrastinating on all the work you have, midterms and EOCT standardized test are coming up, and all you want to do is have a week off so that all you can do is sleep. And I get that, however, things are going to start changing in a couple of minutes. If you are in desperate need of some pep talk or motivation, we’re going to fix that problem, right here and right now.

1. Get serious

Stop complaining about how you only got four hours of sleep because we have all procrastinated and waited until the last minute. How you manage your time wisely determines how successful you will be during the long run and defines who you are. Did you catch that? Procrastinating on an assignment that is due the next day is no one but your fault. In order to have the motivation, you will need to have not procrastinated. Make the decision to climb up all the stairs, instead of use escalators. Up to now, you have probably thought about this. Up to now, it has passed your mind. However now make up your mind and go all the way to the top. It’s the most extraordinary feeling. You live in a shadow going up the dark side of the hill- until you determine that I’m going to be the best person I can possibly be. And now you are rising into the sunshine, in a whole new atmosphere.

2. Read the quotes below

Pick one of these and put this as your lock screen on your phone or hang it on your wall. I have a couple on my wall and it helps to read it at least three times a day.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
