If you're reading, it is very likely that you know who Zac Efron is. We know and love Zefron from the genius nostalgic High School Musical trilogy. I actually think that Zac Efron is a really good actor, and have enjoyed his other films outside of the HSM franchise (The Greatest Showman). And, yes, he is the physical pinnacle of perfection.

It's so weird. He's hot in EVERYTHING. As a high schooler? Hot. With cringey 2007 hair? Hot. With a beard? Hot. In a suit? So hot that I am melted into a physical puddle.

But as much as I love Zefron, I have extremely mixed feelings about his upcoming role in the film, "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile". The film comes out sometime in late 2019 but premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this past weekend. Directed by Joe Berlinger, it is a thriller about Ted Bundy, an American serial killer in 1969.

If you do not know who Ted Bundy is, and if you do not feel like googling him, just know that he was an extremely messed up individual. He sexually assaulted and killed an upwards of young thirty women in the 1970s and possibly earlier. The crimes shocked America and caused young women everywhere to fear for their lives. He denied the claims for about a DECADE, but then finally confessed and served time in jail until his death in 1989.

Zac Efron versus Ted Bundy (is it JUST me or do they not look alike at all?)USATODAY https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=images&cd=&...

The weird thing about Ted Bundy is that he was a really normal guy, and so it was even more shocking when the police realized he was the suspect. He was well mannered, good looking, and seemed like a stereotypical American family man who had a wife and daughter. (OH, also, his wife had ZERO idea he was a serial killer. LIKE WHAT?? Imagine being married to a serial killer.)

So when I heard that Zac Efron was playing Ted Bundy, I was initially excited because I love him as an actor. But, then I noticed that people were beginning to sexualize and romanticize Ted Bundy, because of the personal connection that people associate with Zac Efron. I know I have to see the movie before I make a defined opinion on the subject, but I already feel like casting Zac Efron was the wrong move for Joe Berlinger.

I understand that his charm and good looks are what made Bundy so dangerous, but still, something rubs me the wrong way about the casual comedic tone of the trailer. I know that Zac Efron will probably do a good job with the role, but the aura around the movie that some people are giving off is really making me doubt wanting to see the film.

I just really hope that Ted Bundy's extreme wickedness as a human being is accurately portrayed. I also hope that the feelings of the family members who suffered from having loved ones taken from them were considered and that Hollywood just isn't getting financial gain off of the fact that a hot actor is playing a serial killer.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
