I have tried to consistently post videos to Youtube but was never confident enough to look at my face on film or listen to my voice. It is safe to say I was (and still am) very insecure, but I am working on that. About a month ago I decided to start recording gaming videos for YouTube. While getting views and feedback has been the hardest part, besides technical difficulties, I have had the best time being creative and having a productive purpose for video games.

I first made my channel (youtube.com/TheLaceeNicole) about four years ago and had so many plans but I just felt too awkward to put myself online. This is when I came up with the conclusion phrase "Youtuber In Progress." A couple of years after that I started making videos with my friends as a group, which I felt so much more comfortable with. It was during this time that I discovered how much I like the filming and editing process and now that is my college major.

Currently, I try to post a few times a week to my updated channel and am proud to say I have put out quite a few videos since starting up this hobby again. My favorite thing about recording video games is that I do not have to worry about coming up with an idea each time I want to make a video. Also, since I am just starting out and learning how the technology works, I can make my editing process simple. My final advice to anyone reading this is to chase the dream you have been putting off, it is so worth it.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
