Let’s be honest, technology is taking over the world. We have so many different social media platforms, and other platforms for people to express themselves and also entertain other people. Recently I joined in on the trend of watching Vlogs on YouTube. I know, I’m a little behind, but I was always skeptical of watching Vlogs. Most of them are people that uses to be on Vine. Surprisingly, some of it may be a little silly, but it will make you laugh, I can promise you that. Here is a list of Vloggers you should start watching in your spare time (all of the links to their YouTube will be included).

1. David Dobrik

One of my all time favorite new Vlogs. I love David and all of his friends. They are a bunch of silly young guys and girls that are just so full of life and love. Disclaimer, they do swear so this isn’t something your young children should be watching, but it is very funny. Most of David’s Vlogs are 4 minutes and 20 seconds long and he usually posts vlogs 3 times a week which he started in 2015. Some of his friends you will see on his vlog are Gabbie, Liza, Alex, Dom, Jason Nash, Zayn, and Josh Peck. If you want to laugh until you cry, this is definitely the vlog to watch. “That’s all for today’s vlog. Please like and subscribe. Tweet me @DavidDobrik.”

2. Liza Koshy

You may know this silly “little brown girl” (as she calls herself) from Vine and also from David’s vlog. Her videos have also been shared all over Facebook. She is hysterically funny and just overall adorable. She posts a new video every Wednesday called “Wednezzzdays with Lizzza”. You truly never know what you are getting with Liza.

3. Joe Santagato

I really don’t know what to say about Joe Santagato. He is SO hysterical. Some of his videos including finding the dumbest things on the internet, doing Mad Libs like you have never seen before, and also playing and doing funny things with his friends, especially Keith. I can promise you that you will laugh and binge watch every video he has.

4. Scotty Cranmer

This one is funny, but it is very different from the other vlogs on this list. Scotty is a Pro BMX Rider and his friends also share his passion. Some of his friends that you will see in his vlog is his brother Matty, Big Boy, BK, Ricky, Eddie, Vinny, Mike, and more. There is so much love on this channel. They are so talented and just overall funny. I honestly don’t even know much about riding, and I still enjoy the videos.

5. Good Mythical Morning

This YouTube channel has been around for a while. Best friends, Rhett and Link, make crazy funny videos. Some of them trying different foods, doing challenges, and even having celebrity guests sometimes. The show is bizarre, to say the least, but will definitely make you laugh.

6. Tyler Oakley

This vlog is funny and Tyler is an extremely popular YouTuber. He is funny and his videos are just so uplifting and silly. He has been on Ellen and also Ellen’s YouTube called EllenTube.

There are a lot more YouTubers out there, but these are just some of my favorites to watch. Check them out and maybe you will like them and find even more that you like!

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
