I can't stress enough how throughout this journey of life it is so important to always focus on you. Now, right off the bat I'm going to say that focusing on you doesn't mean ignoring others and not helping them. I'm more or less saying that given the circumstances you should make yourself a priority. This is especially important I believe for people around my age. A lot of people my age get so caught up in pleasing others that they lose track of themselves. If you're waiting for a guy to ask you to hang out, DON'T. Instead of waiting for him/her go to the gym. Do something that betters yourself. Although there are a lot of life-lasting relationships and friendships in your life, there are also a lot of temporary ones. If someone or a friend is stopping you from making yourself a priority, I believe they are not worth your time. Focus on you. Workout, study, rest, learn how to cook new things, save money, spend money on yourself, relax, and find your own internal happiness. It's worth everything. At the end of the day, all you have is yourself anyways
