I look back at my life and think about what I thought life would be like someday. When I was younger, I never thought I would grow up. I thought I'd stay young forever. Yes, in the back of my mind, I knew I would. But, I just couldn't see it; life was going by way too slow. Sometimes, looking back, I think that I took life for granted. However, in all honesty, I don't think I did.
I grew up in a pretty big family compared to others. I have four brothers and two sisters. My family is what you would call a blended family, but I never really saw it that way. Even though I only grew up with three of my brothers and one sister in the same household, I still feel like we're more than a blended family. In saying that, I love each and every one of my brothers and sisters with all of my heart. We may have argued and such growing up-- sometimes even now; but, that doesn't change anything.
All that to say: This is for the women that will marry my brothers. I want you to know that you really did win when you found my brother. No matter which one it is that you're marrying, I promise you found a truly special man. Know that he is trustworthy, caring, and honorable. He loves his family and would do anything for him. He was brought up in a home that loves the Lord and is so family oriented. I couldn't think of a better man for you to marry.
Enough about them. This is to you. I am so excited to be your sister-in-love and to have you in my life. I hope that we become the best of friends and grow together as close-knit family. I hope you know that I'm always here for you and wholeheartedly support your marriage. I wish all of the joy and satisfaction for you in your marriage to my brother.
Lastly, I want to thank you for being such a wonderful woman-- putting up with my brother and all. That can be a tough job to do, haha. But, remember, it can also be very rewarding. He may act tough; but, trust me, he's really a softie. He loves and feels with his whole heart. I'm so happy to know that you found each other. You're not just marrying my brother. You're marrying his family, too. That sound weird, but what I mean is you're not just adding him to your family-- you're adding the rest of us too. You're gaining a crazy but loving family, and I think you're going to love it!
All of my love,
Your Future Sister
