Moms are a wonderful thing. My mom isn't just my mom, she's my best friend, my biggest fan, and my greatest inspiration. There's nothing she wouldn't do for me and there's nothing I wouldn't do for her. Here's why having your mom as your best friend is such a great thing, told best by the "Gilmore Girls."

1. You can tell her anything. And I mean ANYTHING

2. You guys act like such best friends that people don't even realize you're mother and daughter

3. She loves hearing about your gossip and you love hearing all about hers

4. No matter how mad she gets at you, she'll still always be there for you

5. You guys have some kind of telepathy and can usually read each other's minds

6. She's ALWAYS right and gives the best advice

7. She'll tell you when clothes look dumb on you

8. She'll hold you when you cry about breakups

9. And tell you when you're being ridiculous

10. Sleepovers

11. She'll always have your back

12. She's always the first one you call, no matter the situation

13. You've grown out of her embarrassing you at this point

14. She always knows when to bring in the comfort food

15. And how to make you feel better

16. She loves you unconditionally

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
