All Your Thoughts During an Amusement Ride
jaredunzipped

You are at some amusement park or carnival or fair or any event that has rides. And it is not just any rides, but those rides that make you say, "Nope! No way I'm getting on that!" And somehow your friend or anyone you are with convinced you to get on that intimidating amusement ride with them. Or, you may also want the adrenaline rush and for a second forget your fears. Or you are trying to prove you're not afraid. Either way, here are your thoughts before, during, and after going on an amusement ride. Because we have all been there at one point! (Unless of course, you are an adrenaline junkie and love these types of rides.)

1. "I've got this!"

It doesn't look that bad. I think I can handle it. Yeah, let's get on that ride!

2. Almost through the line

We are getting pretty close. It's really happening. . .I can hear their screams. . .Uuuuuhhhhhhhh, I don't think I want to do this anymore.

3. Can people die in rides?

I'm going on this ride. It can't be that bad. Nobody has died in an amusement ride, right? Right?

4. "Did I put my seat belt wrong?"

What if I put it on wrong? I think I put in on wrong! Does the attendant know? They will tell me something, right? RIGHT?! WHY HAVEN'T THEY CHECKED MINE YET? DON'T START THE RIDE!

5. "This will be so much fun!"

My seat belt is on right. Okay, I won't die. I'm ready! Everyone else is excited. This will be so much fun! I can do this!

6. "Wait, I take it back!"

I'm not ready! Take this seat belt off me! Stop the ride!

7. "I TAKE IT BACK! I WANT OUT!"

STOP! GET ME OUT OF THIS RIDE! (SCREAMING BEGINS)

8. I regret this!

WHY DID I LISTEN TO (INSERT NAME HERE)? I HATE RIDES! (SCREAMING CONTINUES)

9. This is it!

THIS IS IT! THIS IS HOW IT ENDS! I'LL DIE IN THIS RIDE! (SCREAMING STILL CONTINUES)

10. It's over!

Phew! I'm glad it's over! That wasn't that bad! I'm ready to get out.

11. Wait, is it going again!

I CAN'T DO THIS AGAIN! I SAID I WANT OUT! STOP! STOP! NOOOOO!

12. Too scared to scream anymore

13. It's over, again!

Is it really over?! Please be really over! I have to get out!

14. "It wasn't that bad."

Why was I scared in the first place? It wasn't that bad! I can do anything now!

15. Then everyone suggests to go on another ride

NOOOOOOOOO!

And of course, if you are an adrenaline junkie and love amusement rides this might be you the whole time.

16. WOOOOOOO!

WOOOOO! PUT YOUR ARMS UP! IT MAKES IT MORE FUN!

But remember this next time you go on an amusement ride and are scared: most of us have been through that too. . . and check that you put your seat belt on right!

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
