You start trying to chip away
and dismantle the walls you've built
But pickaxes are made for mining
and the jewels are buried in guilt
It's hard and tedious work
but your muscles never ache
and though it wears thin at times
your will will never break
Till finally a breakthrough and
you chisel sparks a light
and in that hole are rubies, diamonds
Pearls to your delight
It isn't always easy,
at times it's hard to find
For me, believe, I'll always be
Embedded in
Your mine
