The next time you go to your local football game look down on the field - not at the player or the coaches, but at the people around them with cameras in their hands. Those people are the ones you thank on Facebook for pictures of your child. Those people are your local photographers. They need more support.

These people go to nearly every event in your town and on top of that you get free digital pictures of your kids. The least you could do is order prints from them, or tag them in their pictures that you repost. When you do this you help advertise their business to your group of friends. If every person advertised your favorite local photographer to your friends, they would get a whole lot more business. They don't just make a few bucks off of the few prints you order, but they get more business when they get proper support. Sessions make the money for them… not the games. Most of your local photographers go to the games for practice.

Photography is a side hobby that makes money for most, but for some it’s a way of life. Your local photographers deserve support because the give you their time, energy, support, and talent. This isn't just an acquired skill, but a given talent. They deserve your support because this is what they love and sharing it with their hometown is an incredible feeling. Next time you see one of your local photographers, stop and thank them… It really does mean a lot to them. Just hearing how much you love what they do and how their talent is noticeable helps boost their confidence.

Once they know that they have your support, they continue to do more for you. They will give you all they have to give. Give them the support they deserve. That's all they need.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
