Your Halloweekend As Told By The Office Gifs

It almost always holds true that weekends do not go the way you expect them to, especially the ones you have high expectations for. I guess you could say I was pretty excited for Halloweekend considering I had planned one of my costumes last year and the other one over the summer. So it was inevitable for my Halloweekend to fall just a little bit short of my high expectations.

  1. You start getting ready for the night, adding last minute touches to your costume, thinking about how awesome your night is going to be.
  2. After what seems like hours of preparation (hey, girls need time),you finally give your friends the go ahead to come on over.
  3. Suddenly it's 10 minutes later than the time you told them to come over so you text them to figure out what’s up.
  4. They tell you that they just want to take “one” shot before they leave.
  5. They finally arrive and you’re able to start having a good time and forget about all the school work you’re going to have to fit in at some point.
  6. Once you’re on the brink of having a good time, someone just has to go ahead and ruin it by putting on a crappy song.
  7. Everyone agrees that the music sucks, but you’re the only one willing to fight it out with your friend who insists they are the AUX cord master. You gain control of the music once more to everyone’s relief.
  8. All is right again, and another friend announces it’s picture time. So you file out into the hallway (because that’s where the lighting is best of course) and give your best Halloween pose.
  9. After dancing some more and taking lots of pictures, it’s time to go to the Levee, because what Friday/Saturday night out doesn’t end there?
  10. But getting everyone out the door doesn’t prove to be an easy task…
  11. Finally, the only thing standing in between you and your mozzarella sticks is the cluster of DPS officers standing in front of the doors of the Levee.
  12. You all make it in somehow and are free to enjoy your night of music and food.
  13. It’s tons of fun, until one of your friends needs you to walk them back to their room because they’re tired or don’t feel good.
  14. And suddenly your night is over…at a quarter to midnight.
  15. You wake up on Saturday morning, determined to make this night go better, but we all know it probably won’t end up being much different.

If you had a way better Halloweekend than this, congratulations! But if your weekend went a lot like mine, don’t worry, there are plenty of weekends left in the semester for you to have a great time.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.

Your Friend Group, As Told By Disney Princesses

Each Disney Princess has their own personality, and chances are you've got a friend in your group to match it.

The dynamics of any friend group are usually determined by the personalities which make it up. Chances are, while personalities may overlap, each person in your friend group holds his or her own place. It is the differences which bring the groups together and keep them functioning. No matter how functionally dysfunctional your friend group may be, if you're anything like me, you feel absolutely blessed to have found such a wonderful group of humans to call "your people." Here is what your friend group might look like if they were Disney princesses (and that wasn't just a thing you all pretended in your heads):
